Cerebral cysticercosis is a stubborn neurological disease caused by intracranial parasite (mainly Taenia solium) infection. This disease accounts for more than 80% cysticercosis. Patient takes the eggs of taenia solium orally, which will develop into cysticercus, piercing the intestinal wall, entering into the small mesenteric vein, reaching the meninges, cerebral parenchyma, and the cerebral ventricle. Cerebral cysticercosis is divided into the brain parenchyma type, ventricles type, meningeal type and mixed type.
